It’s generally easier to do things the same way our organisation has always done them.
Everyone we work with does X that way and the outcome is consistent, normal.
Over time processes become entrenched and expectations stagnate.
But X can always be done better, faster, more effectively.
Change requires inspiration and inspiration is fed by exposure. Exposure to different approaches, different opinions, different end results. Not necessarily better, just different.
The best place to find different, by definition, is not where you’re already spending most of your time.
